New Series Armor From Words… Words For Armor: Fabricated from 537 Pieces of Walnut, Handsewn Together with Copper Wire

Presented by the Northeast Minneapolis Arts Association (NEMAA), Art-A-Whirl is an open studio tour in Northeast Minneapolis. It's a great opportunity to tour private artist studios and galleries, connect with the artists, and purchase original artwork. Over the last 20 years, it has become the largest open studio tour in the country.

Art-A-Whirl takes place annually throughout Northeast Minneapolis, the third weekend of May. This event is free and open to the public.

My studio, in the Northrup King Building (3rd Floor - Studio 381) at 1500 Jackson Street NE in Minneapolis, was open for this fun event.

Thank you to all the fabulous visitors who contributed to a large 48” x 48” painting over the weekend by writing, drawing, or painting their own empowering words to emphasize My Words Matter, Our Words Matter. View the wonderful way it came alive over three days in the filmstrip below. If you were one of the contributors, see if you can find your word…
